Software
Project S.r.l. undertakes mechanical projects in complex and very different fields: automation, agriculture, automotive, components, leisure.
One particular area of significant added value for our customers is our ability to fully align ourselves with the software already in use in their company.
Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of configuring these complex software packages, we are able to perfectly recreate the customer's working environment, not only with the same version of the same software but also configured with their parameters, so that they effectively become one more member of their team.
The customer can also insert files into its archive or directly into its PDM so that they are consistent with its specifications.
In the event that the customer has no particular software requirements, we will be able to help choose the most effective software for each type of project.
Our team uses the leading mechanical design software and thanks to constant and continuous updating they are able to offer customers innovative and customised solutions.
CREO PARAMETRIC
PTC Creo is an integrated parametric 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution created by the Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). It was the first to market with parametric, feature-based, associative solid modelling software.
The application runs on the Microsoft Windows platform and offers solid modelling, assembly modelling and design, finite element analysis, parametric modelling, and surfaces.
Creo is a true application suite: there are about 1000 new implementations and it has been updated with a user-friendly interface.
Creo offers extensive functionality to meet every requirement:

Creo Tool Design Extension (TDO)
We also use this extension of Creo Parametric to optimise mould design for industrial production.
Mould design is a complex and very delicate process, the correct functioning of moulds has a considerable effect on the production chain and has a significant impact on costs and production quality.
Thanks to Creo Tool Design Extension we can design single and multi-cavity moulds and castings with unprecedented ease. It is also possible to assess problems with draft angles, undercuts and thicknesses, in order to prevent any critical issues at the design stage.
Creo Simulate Extension
Creo Simulate is a structural analysis solution with a comprehensive set of finite element analysis (FEA) capabilities that allow you to examine and validate the performance of 3D virtual prototypes before creating the first part.
This extension creates digital prototypes to understand the performance of designs under real-world conditions. We use it to incorporate the results of the kinematic and dynamic calculation in the Creo environment and optimise the virtual prototype.
This makes the product verification simulation during the design phase increasingly effective and helps to avoid errors that in physical prototyping would mean having to start the process all over again.
CATIA V5
CATIA V5 offers solutions for specification-based intuitive modelling for the design of solid, hybrid and sheet metal parts, assembly design and integrated drawing, as well as design and styling.
Thanks to a number of tools, it is possible to easily validate and modify any type of surface, from free-form shapes to mechanical shape surfaces.
The set of knowledgeware solutions transforms implicit design methods into explicit knowledge for optimal design.
The power of surface modelling and the capability, where possible, of working in parametric makes it a highly versatile tool for the most complex solutions: reverse engineering, design, equipment and systems engineering.
SIEMENS NX
Siemens NX offers a new generation of design, simulation and manufacturing solutions, with powerful and flexible integrated tools that enable products to be manufactured faster and more efficiently, supporting every aspect of development: from concept design to engineering and manufacturing.
This toolset coordinates disciplines, preserves data integrity and design purpose, and simplifies the entire process.
It is a constantly updated software (continuous release) which allows users to assess the quality of the project.
The most useful tools include: advanced surface tools, boolean solids, shape modelling, advanced tools for complex operating conditions (such as surface continuity, geometry analysis, finite element simulation and visualisation tools).
SOLIDWORKS
This three-dimensional drawing and design software was created for mechanical engineering and is mainly used for the design of mechanical devices, even complex ones.
With Solidworks, it is possible to create 2D and 3D drawings of solids and surfaces, through a fully customisable parametric geometry system which allows numerous types of relationships to be configured.
In addition, it allows users to switch drawings from 2 to 3 dimensions and vice versa, importing and exporting AutoCAD files (DWG, DXF) and importing files created with other programmes as graphic bodies.
TELL INDUSTRY
This is a design and production software for 2D studies and drawings.
The strengths of this software are: freedom to move elements, the ability to quickly study different variants of a design thanks to the ergonomic implementation of 2D design functions, and the creation of high-quality 2D plan files thanks to the software's wealth of functionality, without having to go through 3D modelling.
Using construction lines, it offer the capability of working by parts as well as obtaining commands directly from the screen.
KEYSHOT
This is currently one of the best 3D rendering software packages on the market. Keyshot updates the three-dimensional model each time a change is made (of geometry or details) without losing the settings already processed thanks to an import pipeline capable of loading almost any CAD file format.
The software provides rendered images, updated as the design progresses, and can animate the object until it functions as in reality. With an html format that can be shared online, the customer can see the 3D model in motion simply by using the mouse.
AUTODESK NASTRAN
Autodesk Nastran is an advanced finite element simulation (FEA) software used for structural, thermal and dynamic analysis. It offers high-performance calculation tools for assessing the strength, deformation and stability of materials, and is widely used in mechanical, aerospace and automotive engineering.
AUTODESK CFD
We use this software for thermal and fluid-dynamic simulation of liquid and gas flows and it can be integrated with leading 3D CAD software packages. This enables high operability and efficiency in simulation studies.
OpenFOAM
OpenFOAM is a fluid dynamics simulation software package with advanced functionality for solving complex flows, including phenomena such as chemical reactions, phase changes and acoustics.
PDM FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In addition, in order to work efficiently and on-time with our customers, we manage the entire product life cycle and related processes using various Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as:
-
• Windchill for PTC's Creo Parametric environment
-
• Teamcenter for the Siemens NX environment
-
• SolidWorks PDM for SolidWorks by Nuovamacut Dassault
-
• PRO.FILE for documentation and product lifecycle management
